How I can build a decent sized cabin structurally sound without notching logs stacked and endless?
My friend and I want to build a small cottage style house, very basic. We do not want to go through all the work of dozens of trees and skinning cuting get it done, then scoring all the time. Does anyone have any good suggestions? I would also like to add that we are both 18 years old and are in ruins.
if you are into ruin and want this work will have to invest to achieve anything. first thought of investing in this project through the ground up. for example, is really necessary "skin" of the logs. looks better and perhaps do less ringing in the future, but to enter the climate of raw logs accumulate and and preparations. think out side the box. two guys bring a synergy in the project. with wood and tools available you two should be able to lift a structure Compact water from local materials in less than a month. and that would only work 4-6 hours a day.
