Log Cabin Wood Paneling

log cabin wood paneling
"I can put real wood paneling in my bathroom?

I have all the wood paneling in my house. It is spruce and its not in large sheets, but in parts Long, such as a 2×4, but fine (I got it from Lowes). Well, give my house a Log Cabin feel. (Because I live in the forest of 15 hectares). Anyway, I want to redo my bathroom, and I really like to put wood paneling on the walls. But I have fear that could warp or mildew. Is it possible for me to do this? Maybe I could put it polyurthane as I did in the rest of the walls? Or, a kind of protector of the wood, and put it on my terrace around of the pool. Thank you! (Im looking to do this tonight or tomorrow, because I'm bored!) Lisa

Well let me respond to what you started:) Ok well when you cut your wood siding to be placed in the bathroom cut short from the top about half an inch and when you apply coating put his flush on the bottom and leave it at the top a short break in the ceiling. Most of all materials expand and contract due to temperature. In a bathroom where it can get very wet you should leave this gap so it can expand with moisture. Polyurethane not be a bad idea so the wood can be clean and clear. Not a very good idea to put wood in a bathroom due to the environment, I usually do not recommend this, but you can do. I hope you can do this and what is going according to plan, but on top you might want to get some stained pine trim before or stain to match to cover the gaps and take a look very nice:) Hope this helps and good luck
